Chinese artist enters Mary Boone Gallery in NY

Mary Boone Gallery, one of the New York’s premier contemporary art galleries, presents an exhibit of work by the Chinese artist Liu Xiaodong. The Exhibit, called “Yan, Guan Town” has sparked interest world-wide partly because of its subject matter: paintings with Muslims and Christian families the artist met in Gansu, China in 2009.

Mr. Liu. a teacher at the prestigious Chinese Academy of Fine Art in Beijing, is considered by many to be one of the country’s leading figurative painters.
At Mary Boone, all paintings have sold for between us$ 75.000 to $800.000, but they will be on display through October 23. Please visit if you happens to be in New York before this date.
