Di Lui wins Lacoste Elysee Prize

Chinese photographer Di Lui has been announced as the winner of the Lacoste Elysee Prize. The new annual prize, organised by the Musee De l’Elysee and Lacoste, shortlisted twelve artists, who each received a bursary of 3,000 Swiss Francs to create a new body of work which pictorially interprets the fashion brand’s archetypal polo shirt. Di Liu’s suite of images which, with dark humor, depicted monstrously oversized woodland animals, manipulated so that they appeared to dominate an urban cityscape, won the photographer 20,000 Sfr first prize. Jurassic Park is coming back!
