People Tide

Today’s Artwork is “A Thought of a Moment” acrylic on canvas by Chinese painter Wushu Deng, who will be exhibiting at Artexpo New York 2011 with Rainbow Gallery.

Born in Sichuan Province in 1968, Wushu studied oil painting at the acclaimed Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Chongqing. Wushu looks out on Chinese society with the unprejudiced perspective of a young child. Wushu seems to view China’s people, through the eyes of this child, as its great strength rather than its weakness. His large canvases of sunglass-wearing children have made a deep impression on collectors both in China and the United States. Wushu has exhibited his work at a number of important galleries and museums, including the China’s Museum of Cultural Arts.
Look out soon for his new paintings with lotuses and bamboo because Eight Art Gallery will introduce his work for the European market. Eight Art Gallery’s website is always the first place to find it.
